DAY SERVICES ACTIVITIES PROGRAM

  • Position: Direct Support Professional (DSP)
  • Job Title: Club T.E.C. Specialist
  • Schedule: M-F: Dayshift between the hours of 8 am to 2:30 pm – 25-30 hrs a week
  • Rate: $15-$16 hour

Job Description:

Provide supervision and support for adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. The DSP supports clients within the program assisting with inspired learning, interested based outings & activities, and ensure that the person is achieving his/her goals.

  • Support people in ways that assist him/her to achieve personal goals
  • Encourage participation, teach skills and motivate efforts
  • Promote inclusion
  • Provide support for enjoyable outings and activities in the community
  • Provide support for pre-employment skill development, social skill development, and work/volunteer experience per individual goals
  • Drive company vehicles daily
  • Document progress and skill development using Therap
  • Advocate for client’s rights, assure compliance with Oregon administrative rules and promote and support overall training efforts of the company mission
  • Additional duties will include general housekeeping to maintain an organized and healthy environment

Eligibility & Requirements:

  • Meet the physical demands of the job
  • Must be at least 18 years old (Oregon Administrative Rule 309-047-0100-04)
  • Must pass a drug screen test, initially and randomly
  • Must pass a Department of Human Services criminal background check
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent (per OARS)
  • Must have valid driver’s license, be licensed for at least one year, have a good driving record, and be at least 21 years of age to drive company vehicles per company vehicle insurance
  • Rockwest will provide training for all required certifications (First Aid/CPR, OIS)
